SUMMARY:
Dr. McNamara serves as the medical director of the South Pasadena Cancer Center. In addition to his clinical and administrative work, Dr. McNamara also serves as the Principal Investigator for numerous clinical trials performed at the Cancer Center. Dr. McNamara earned his degree in medicine from Northwestern University School of Medicine in 1985. He completed his internship and residency at Evanston Hospital in Evanston, Illinois, followed by fellowships in medical oncology and hematology & bone marrow transplantation at the City of Hope National Medical Center. After working in private practice for eight years, Dr. McNamara joined the Division of Medical Oncology and Therapeutics Research with City of Hope Medical Group in 1998. Dr. McNamara is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology.
